Corinne passed away on 25th March 2024 at Thames Hospice in Maidenhead, the day before her 52nd birthday.
When Corinne visited Thames Hospice in the week or so prior to becoming an in-patient, she was visibly moved by the feeling of peace and beauty when looking out over the lake.
When Corinne needed support, she literally said "It's Thames Hospice or nothing" and "I don't want to go anywhere else". We were so grateful that they were able to accept her when it was needed.
When we visited, Corinne was full of hope for a miracle and said that when she is better, she will be signing up as a volunteer at Thames Hospice to help others and give back.
The Doctors and Nurses and the full team at Thames Hospice are an amazing group of people. Corinne's passing had many of them in tears.
We learnt that the cost of keeping Thames Hospice open each year is something in excess of £15m. Only about 26% of that is provided by the NHS and the balance is entirely down to fundraising. It's such an amazing place that we don't know what we would have done without it.
We would like to raise as much money for Thames Hospice as possible.
In time, we will be arranging some fundraising events and will use this page so that all donations are in the same place, and in support of Thames Hospice.
Thank you all very much for any contributions that you make.
